How is an eyebrow transplantation applied ?
The methods and techniques employed during hair transplantation are essentially the same in eyebrow transplantation. The process begins by removing a micro-graft (single hair strand) from the nape of the patient’s neck, and then the micro-graft is transplanted to the patient’s eyebrow area. The eyebrow area where the micro-graft is to be placed is anesthetized locally. Micro-canals are then opened with a lateral slit on the area where the hair transplantation is to be applied. Once the canals are opened, our expert team applies the transplantation process individually to each canal.

At Estepera Hair Transplantation Center, we have performed hundreds of successful eyebrow transfers; especially for women who, as the result of removing and thinning down the eyebrows, have incurred permanently deformed eyebrow lines. At our center we design your eyebrows perfectly and give them your desired shape within a very short time (within 1-2 hours), without causing any trauma or pain.

Eyebrow problems that can be corrected almost completely by Eyebrow transplantation:

Thinning Eyebrows.
Deformed Eyebrows.
Wound Scar.
Operation Scar.
Suture Scar.
Various types of eyebrow loss can be camouflaged fully by applying a successful root transfer. Also, any scars can be made invisible through Eyebrow transplantation.
Does the technique used in eyebrow transplantation vary from person to person?

Generally, the same technique is used but the extent of eyebrow loss and the reasons behind the loss bear significance on how the technique is applied.

May eyebrow transplantation be applied to anybody?

Yes, It may be applied to anyone who has hair at the nape of their neck.

Is pain felt during application?

Definitely not. Before the procedure anesthesia is applied locally to areas where the procedure is to take place, removing any sense of pain. Other methods, such as tattoos made on the eyebrows, cause considerably more pain.

Is a natural appearance maintained in eyebrow transplantation?

Every individual’s eyebrows is different from the next; therefore the thickness and thinness of the eyebrow transplantation should be determined by the former eyebrow and hair properties of the individual. This ensures that a natural appearance will result from the procedure. A person who used to have abundant hair and eyebrows, should not seek to have a weak or very thin eyebrow…while thick and bushy eyebrows are not suitable for a person who has naturally thin eyebrows.

When deciding upon the model of the eyebrow, what should be taken into consideration?

The kind of eyebrow a person wants is very important; therefore they should decide, through an informed consultation with their doctor, on the specific eyebrow line, design and thickness. Generally, in order to maintain a natural appearance, a thick eyebrow can be designed as thick as you wish but a thin eyebrow cannot be turned into a full and thick eyebrow. However, it is possible to make your eyebrow slightly thicker than normal, and still maintain a natural look to your eyebrows.

Do any problems arise after the eyebrow has been transplanted? What grooming habits should be taken into consideration?

You should shorten eyebrows transplanted from the nape of the neck no more than once a week. Why? Because, the transplanted eyebrow hair grows at a different rate, because it bears the properties of hair from the nape of the neck rather than that of natural eyebrow hair.
